Artifact: Motor Development Lab Skill Assessment
Date: Spring 2010

Reflection: Over the past Spring 2010 semester I was able to have the opportunity to work with elementary school students at St. Mary's Elementary. We would attend the school each week with designated games and activities for the students depending on the theme of the week. For lab 4 we had to create games of the students to work on their throwing and catching skills. We were told to evaluate the skills of one boy and one girl in the class. I was able to observe both the boy and girl and worked on my skills regarding critiquing and evaluating the given skills elements. I now have the experience of knowing how to observe student's skill levels and I am now knowledgeable on what kinds of behaviors to look for in students throwing and catching to evaluate their skill level. I can now offer and know what kinds of positive feedback to give students so they can master skills like these in physical education class.

You can find the skills assessment for Lab 4 at St. Mary's here!
